If you would like to have a visit from Pastor Rob, Judy Bergeson (DM) or from Carla Vanatta (AIM), while you are in the hospital, please tell the hospital that you are a SALEM member and you would like a visit. Have them notify the church office. As policies surrounding, confidentiality and patients rights are now governed by HIIPPA, hospitals can no longer contact church offices to notify them that church members have been admitted unless you specifically ask the nurse or medical staff to do so; this must be a specific request you make. If you desire a pastoral call during your admission, please contact the church office at (815) 895-9171.

Grief Support
For many grieving people, the time after church makes Sunday the longest of all the days of the week. While others may have family gatherings, sports activities and social events, those who have lost a loved one find this time difficult and lonely. Salem's Grief Support Group meets weekly on Sundays 3:00—4:30 p.m. in the Chapel Lounge. This is a safe place for people to learn about grief and to share their own. All are welcome!
